Hey there, I'm Austin!
Prepared to be unapologetically yourself !?
You know how a lot of wedding films can feel the same? Like you can almost guess what's going to happen next before it happens? If that's what you're looking for then you're in the WRONG place.
My journey began with the idea of creating a wedding media business that.....jk my journey began when a co-worker asked me to film their wedding. I was prepared to say no.....but I'm so glad I didn't.
So, why a cut tree?
To me, branding isn't about selling my services, it's about telling you who I am. My passion for storytelling comes from my favorite author, J.R.R. Tolkien (surprise, I'm kind of a nerd).
A cut tree signifies words from Tolkien himself:
"The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
These words remind me that no matter what happens in life, there are roots that can't be touched. A lifeline not always seen but that is always there. A love that holds strong through good and bad.
Experience
When it comes to covering your wedding, there are aspects of your day I always strive to incorporate.
1. STORY
Your wedding is about your entire love story, not a single day. I love meeting with my couples and planning a film or photo session outside of your wedding day. Whatever it may be, capturing you and your partner doing something you love is a great start!
2. FEELING
How did your day feel!? Incorporating the feeling of the day helps to bring out a more natural story. I'm not trying to make your day something it wasn't. I want the feeling of your day to carry on through your film or photos.
3. MOMENTS
Your day doesn't need to be filled with posed shots that make you uncomfortable. Our greatest moments of joy and love aren't found in any given pose; they're in the mundane moments where you feel like you can be yourself. I look for inspiration in candid moments that truly show you being you.
